About Us
Miindia Foundation was formed in 2005 to serve the Michigan Indian residents with focus on addressing the needs of the fast-growing immigrant population.
Concurrently, projects were undertaken to address the massive Tsunami tragedy in Southeast Asia. Funds were raised to the help the survivors of the tragedy in India, Sri Lanka and Indonesia. Miindia Foundation has since then expanded to help serve Michigan communities in times of need following natural disasters. Also, funds were raised to help children in economically underserved areas to address school supplies and health kits. During the COVID19 pandemic the organization helped serve 20,000 meals and provided thousands of masks and supplies. We also helped the community with crisis management affecting immigrants.
Miindia Foundation leverages miindia.com, the communication platform for the 140,000 member Michigan Indian community by coordinating cultural and recognition events over the last two decades. “miindia” is a recognized brand in nearly household with an Indian-origin resident. Several community organizations and agencies rely on ‘miindia” for information and community engagement.
